During 2022 I have had the pleasure of working as a visual artist with the All Our Land project. Throughout 2022 local young people have come together with artists and environmental scientists to respond creatively to the relationship between our local landscape and the impact of climate change.
I have been absorbed in collaborating with Mel Brierley (Dance Artist, trainer, researcher) on an exciting and innovative, creative and exploratory Arts Council funded project called, Moving Beyond.
Through the intersection of visual art, dance and the natural landscape, we are exploring our lived experience of ageing, with our creative responses focusing on the importance of self care. We are aiming to identify the significance of our shared practice and how this might influence our future delivery of Arts and Health initiatives.
We have been responding to each others creative practice. Beginning with our hands and our spine we have developed a creative conversation that is taking us to unexpected places.
We will be facilitating workshops which draw from our collaboration and working history.
