Overview
Throughout my working life I have devoted time to my work as a visual artist alongside an extensive career in social care. I now work full time as a visual artist.
I am an active member of ‘Sturnidae’ – a community of rural artists who regularly exhibit together.
I am an active member of the ‘Printmakers Circle’ – a community of Printmakers who collaborate for exhibitions in North Yorkshire

2021 -2022: All Our Land Visual Artist Collaborative project.
2021- present: Collaboration with Dance Artist, Dr Mel Brierley. Developing our joint creative practice to inform our future delivery of Arts and Health initiatives.

2013 – 2015: Collaboration with the poet, Ian Duhig. Creating artwork for a book of poetry, ‘Digressions’, and a touring exhibition.
2008: Artist in Residence at Grassington Festival
Facilitating workshops (with Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority Rangers) in
primary schools and curating an exhibition of their work.
2006 – 2008: Researching and creating artwork for touring exhibition, ‘The Shanties of Ribblehead’.

2000 – present: Designing and delivering creative visual art workshops in the community.
1997 – 2000: Manager Bridge Project Education and Training Unit working with people with drug dependence.
1992 – 1997: Project worker Bridge House Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Bradford for women and children.
1988 – present: Visual artist alongside part time work in social care.
1986 -1988: Specialist Social Worker in Addictions Bradford Social Services.
1986 -1988: Trainer at Shipley College co facilitating RSA Counselling Course.
1981-1986: Manager Leeds Shaftesbury Project that provided supported housing for people leaving hostel accommodation.
1978 -1981: Day Centre Worker and Group worker, North Lambeth Day Centre for the homeless.
